A Practice Shaped by Experience
ALT.RE has been active for over two decades across advisory, real estate,
and development work, with projects ranging from early feasibility studies
to built and occupied environments.
Much of the practice's development work begins internally - applying the
same pre-development rigor, testing, and evaluation used for clients before
any project is pursued. This internal discipline informs how advisory
services are structured and delivered for others.
Projects undertaken include both new construction and adaptive reuse, often
in context sensitive environments where zoning, approvals, and design
constraints require careful navigation.
Principal-Led by Design
ALT.RE is led by its principal, who is directly involved in every engagement.
This model emphasizes:
- Clear thinking over scale
- Judgment over volume
- Continuity from early analysis through execution
The principal holds both Construction Supervisor and Real Estate Broker's
licenses, allowing advisory insight to be grounded in practical
understanding of construction, permitting, and transaction realities.
Rather than operating as a large multi disciplinary firm, Alt.Re
collaborates with architects, engineers, attorneys, and consultants as
appropriate to each project - remaining independent, objective, and
focused on the owner's or project's best interests.
How the Practice Engages
Not every project is meant to advance. Many are clarified, refined, or
intentionally paused.
ALT.RE's role is to help bring structure to uncertainty — identifying
risks, validating assumptions, and defining realistic paths forward.
When projects do proceed, they do so with a clear understanding of
constraints, commitments, and tradeoffs.
Development, when undertaken, reflects a deliberate decision rather
than an automatic next step.
A Long Term Perspective
ALT.RE's work is rooted in the belief that the most valuable real estate
outcomes emerge from patient inquiry, contextual understanding, and
disciplined decision making.
Whether advising others or acting as principal, the practice remains
focused on creating durable, well considered projects that respect their
physical, regulatory, and community context.
